This tool is first-party code with no runtime npm libraries in the browser bundle. Encoding and decoding run locally. The named-entity table is compiled into the page; it is not loaded from a CDN or from a remote list.
HTML named character references
The named-entity table is a first-party compilation of the semicolon-terminated named character references in the HTML Standard (WHATWG), together with the characters those names expand to. Numeric decimal and hexadecimal references are parsed by this tool’s own code.
